Let's move!

Hi, *|FNAME|*

April is Move More Month! Join Firefly in celebrating with a free class on April 7, and 14-day challenge starting on April 10.

Movement is essential to health for a number of reasons as a fundamental aspect of life. Everything from circulation to digestion to metabolism to immunity is affected by movement. With movement, our bodies regulate hormone activity, detoxify, and respire.

For the first time in human history, the majority of us work in jobs that don't require our bodies, and simply sit at desks all day. Living this type of sedentary lifestyle has become "normal," but there’s nothing normal about not moving!

From a frozen shoulder to tight hips, many of our movements can become hindered, and we lose range of motion. If you’re experiencing a poor range of motion, activities can be more challenging and tiring, which can impact your mood and outlook on life.

While the terms flexibility and mobility are often used interchangeably, they aren't actually the same. Join me on Thursday at 12:00 PM MDT to learn more about the difference between flexibility and mobility, and how to keep your body healthy with various exercises. Sign up to join via Zoom, or watch in Firefly's private Facebook group.

Having a healthy range of motion assists in improving posture and can contribute to developing overall body awareness. Additionally, mobility helps to prevent and alleviate everyday aches and pains.

No matter what your fitness goals are, you can’t achieve greatness without mobility. Join me starting on Sunday, April 10 to see just how far you can go during Firefly's 14-day Mobility Challenge. Throughout our time together, I'll provide daily tips and tasks to help improve your range of motion and get moving!
